Planet Tiger works to protect the three most endangered tiger subspecies: the Siberian Tiger, the Sumatran Tiger, and especially the Bengal tiger - for which India is now the last viable refuge.

The association carries out long‑term fieldwork in direct cooperation with local actors.

Its action is rooted in the concrete: equipping rangers and Forest Departments (shoes, clothing, vehicles), installing protective fencing, maintaining and securing reserves to keep poachers away.

The Bengal Tiger is threatened by habitat loss and demographic pressure; protecting the species means protecting the entire ecosystem, as fauna and flora are deeply interconnected.

Planet Tiger supports the creation of secure migration corridors, essential to prevent inbreeding and allow Tigers to move safely between reserves.

These projects require significant funding.

The association also works on the social front through the “Tigers, Children of Hope” program, designed to raise awareness among children living in or near the reserves, in partnership with the Wildlife Trust of India.

This program also helps identify and understand risky behaviors within villages.

Planet Tiger aims to extend its actions to the 13 countries where tigers still survive. It has already funded essential equipment (a professional fax machine for WPSI, 600 pairs of shoes, compensation for 120 villagers) and collaborates with international NGOs, Indian authorities, Interpol, and police forces across thirteen states.

The association also takes part in major public awareness events, such as the destruction of illegal ivory in Paris alongside Nicolas Hulot.
